2 Days Marrakech to Zagora desert overview:

DAY 1: Travel from Marrakech to the Zagora Desert via the High Atlas Mountains, Ouarzazate and the Draa Valley:

Enjoying our 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora Desert starts with a pickup from your hotel at 8:00 AM. We will drive through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which is 2,260 meters (7,414 feet) high.

 

We will make several stops along the way for you to take photos. You can decide when and where to stop.

Next, we will visit Ait Ben Haddou, a famous old village that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take your time to explore and take pictures. In the afternoon, we will reach Zagora.

 

Here, you can enjoy a camel ride and watch the sunset. We will travel by camel to our Berber camp in the desert. You will enjoy tasty Moroccan food, listen to Berber music, and gaze at the starry sky.

 

DAY 2: Travel from Zagora to Marrakech via the Draa Valley, Ait Ben Haddou and the High Atlas Mountains:

We will start the day with a delicious breakfast. After that, we will head back to Marrakech. Our first stop will be in Ouarzazate, where we will visit Morocco’s famous Atlas Studios. Many movies and TV shows like Prison Break, Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and The Mummy were filmed here.

 

After enjoying your time at Atlas Studios, we will continue our journey to Marrakech. We will travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing by the familiar places we saw on day 1. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech, marking the end of our 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora Desert.
