3 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley:

We will pick you up around 7:00 AM from your Riad in Marrakech. We will head south, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass in the High Atlas. We’ll stop for photos and visit a women’s Argan Oil cooperative to learn about the making process and benefits of Argan oil.

Next, we’ll detour to Aït Benhaddou, a fortified town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we can have lunch and explore its famous Kasbah. Many films like Gladiator and The Jewel of the Nile were shot here.

After the visit, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, and then to the palm grove of Skoura and the Rose Valley. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert:

After breakfast, we’ll travel along a road filled with unique adobe Kasbahs. We’ll reach the Todra Gorges, a spectacular site with towering vertical walls, perfect for climbers.

After lunch, we’ll head to the Merzouga Desert and the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll enjoy traditional tea before setting off on a camel caravan to our desert camp. We will stop to watch a magical sunset over the dunes. At the camp, you can climb the nearby dunes to watch for shooting stars. After dinner, we’ll spend the night in the heart of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Alnif – Agdz – Draa Valley – Anti Atlas – Marrakech:

We’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise over the sand dunes. After a camel ride back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower, we’ll head to Rissani to visit its market. We’ll then pass through Tazzarine and the Draa Valley, known for its palm trees and date production.

We’ll continue through the Anti-Atlas and High Atlas mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon. We’ll transfer you to your accommodation, marking the end of our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
