Tour overview:

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Fez
On the first day of our 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will depart after a satisfying breakfast and head towards Fez. Along the way, we will make a stop in the charming city of Meknes, nestled in the middle of the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains.

In Meknes, we will explore several points of interest, including the famous Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a delicious lunch in Meknes, we will continue our journey towards Fez. Upon arrival in Fez, we will check into our accommodation, where you will have a delicious dinner and a comfortable night’s rest.

 

Day 2: Explore the city of Fez with a local guide
After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a full day dedicated to exploring the charming city of Fez. This notable city is divided into three distinct areas: Fez el-Bali, the old part; Fes el-Jdid, the modern and ancient Medina; and the French side.

As we navigate the labyrinthine streets, you will be captivated by the medieval atmosphere and grandeur of the city. There are numerous places worth visiting, such as the Mellah, the Jewish quarter, the dyers’ square, Fes el-Bali, the medieval medina, Fes el-Jdid, the new medina and the Mosque of the Andalusians, among others.

After a rewarding day of sightseeing, we will retire to a traditional riad, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in comfort and tranquility.

 

Day 3: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
After a delicious breakfast, we will embark on the next leg of our 6-day Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, heading to the captivating Merzouga desert. Along the way, we will make several stops at fascinating sites.

Our first stop will be Ifrane, a charming city in the Middle Atlas region known for its distinctive European architecture and colder climate. From there, we will head to Azrou, where you will have the opportunity to visit a cedar forest, home to ancient trees and friendly monkeys. The town is famous for its cedar-related cottage industry, and we’ll explore its sights during a city tour.

Continuing our trip, we will arrive at Midelt, located between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. We will pause here for lunch before continuing towards the picturesque Ziz Valley. Marvel at the stunning red gorges, lush oases and traditional adobe kasbahs that dot the landscape.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, where you can settle into our comfortable lodge and collect your belongings for an extraordinary desert experience. Depending on our schedule, we will enjoy a refreshing tea and rest a little before our camel trek. Prepare for an exciting adventure as we ride camels in the heart of Erg Chebbi, immersing ourselves in the stunning colors of the desert as we approach the camp.

Upon arrival at the camp, you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and then enjoy an evening filled with live music, drumming and storytelling around a cozy campfire under the mesmerizing starry sky. It will be an unforgettable experience.

 

Day 4: Explore the Merzouga area and visit a nomadic family
The next morning, you will have the opportunity to witness the fascinating sunrise over the desert. At noon, we will visit a nomadic family, where you can immerse yourself in their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared under the shade of a tree and witness the traditional process of making Berber pizza, which you will have the pleasure of tasting.

After lunch, take some time to relax and rejuvenate. In the afternoon, we will embark on an excursion through the desert in a 4×4 vehicle. Explore an oasis nestled in the desert, visit the unique city of Khamlia, known as the village of the dark-skinned people, and discover the mines of MeFes. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to meet Berber nomads who live on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, giving you an insight into their nomadic lifestyle.

As the day comes to an end, return to camp, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner. Enjoy another night of music, laughter, and cultural experiences around the campfire before retiring to your comfortable Berber tent for the night.

 

Day 5: Sahara Desert Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
In the morning, we will enjoy a camel ride back to the riad, where you will have the opportunity to freshen up with a refreshing shower. Our journey will then continue towards Rissani where we will witness a bustling market that attracts numerous traders. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore and browse through a wide variety of items, such as crafts, rugs, animals and food.

After lunch, we will resume our journey and head to the picturesque Draa Valley. Along the way, we will pause to capture the beauty of the surrounding nature and capture memorable photographs of these stunning landscapes. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, where we will arrive at our accommodation to spend the night. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep, preparing for the adventures that await us the next day.

 

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, our first stop will be at the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient fortress is famous for its magnificent towers and fortified walls, which display a unique combination of Islamic and Jewish influences.

Next, we will proceed to the famous fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic landmark has served as the backdrop for numerous renowned films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and The Mummy. You will have the opportunity to explore this exceptionally well-preserved Kasbah, which was strategically designed to protect houses, crops and palm groves.

Continuing our trip, we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, located in the charming village of Telouet. This historic site once served as a crucial passage between the High Atlas Mountains and Marrakech. Although it shows signs of deterioration, the Kasbah has a captivating charm.

As we make our way through the impressive High Atlas Mountains, we will make several stops to appreciate the stunning scenery, capture memorable photographs, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech and escort you to your accommodation, marking the end of our extraordinary 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.
